Ethnic Studies Department

Majors

A degree in Ethnic Studies offers training of special interest to those considering admission to graduate schools or professional schools and careers in education, law, medicine, public health, social work, journalism, business, city planning, politics, and international relations.  

A number of colleges offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Ethnic Studies.   Students majoring or minoring in this academic field will find it useful to investigate the specific program requirements of several different schools to help with course decisions now.  Programs tend to differ to some extent between most colleges and universities.  

The following list is not a complete listing of all colleges and universities that offer degrees in Ethnic Studies, it is intended to be a source of information about the different types of programs and requirements.  Specific schools should be contacted directly.   Feel free to talk to the Ethnic Studies faculty also.  We always enjoy an opportunity to share our experiences with you.
